Mrs.Mansouri takes part in the ministerial meeting to follow up the recommendations of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation

The secretary of state to the minister of Foreign Affairs, for African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, is taking part in the ministerial follow-up meeting on the recommendations of the 4th Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), being held in Changsha, in the Hunan province, China (June 11-12).

The meeting is a significant step to enhance coordination between African countries and the People's Republic of China on the mechanisms for implementing the Joint Action Plan 2025-2027, adopted at the 4th FOCAC Summit in Beijing, and further promoting cooperation between Africa and China to more effective partnerships, in line with the African continent's development priorities.

In an address, the secretary of state emphasized the importance of strengthening the practical dimension of China-Africa partnership, by focusing on the implementation of the Forum's commitments and the creation of monitoring and assessment mechanisms.

She also stressed the need to intensify coordination between institutional African and Chinese actors and the necessity to speed up the implementation of the signed agreements and memorandums of understanding, mainly those relating to major initiatives, and in particular the Global Development Initiative.

Algeria is also making its economic presence felt at this event with the participation of many Algerian companies to the China-Africa Economic and Commercial expo, from Thursday to Sunday, as part of the support to trade partnerships and the development of cooperation and investment opportunities between the economic actors of the two sides.
